JANITORIAL SUMMARY
Cleaning for the building is performed by contract services under rigid specifications and the supervision of Building Management. Housekeeping inspections are performed regularly by Redlee/SCS, Inc. and Lincoln Harris, to ensure that the level of service is of the highest quality. Good housekeeping is an extremely important part of our tenant services and any suggestions for improvement are always welcome.
Daytime Cleaning Activities
General daytime housekeeping services are provided five days a week. The normal hours of service are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Daily Day Staff Services
· Miscellaneous janitorial requests throughout the day, such as vacuuming and trash removal
· Restock restroom supplies and empty trash
· Wipe sinks and counters
· Disinfect toilets
Nighttime Cleaning Activities
Standard nighttime housekeeping services are provided five nights a week. The normal hours of service are from 6:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. Monday – Thursday and from 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. on Sundays.
Nightly Services
· Vacuum lobbies, corridors and high-traffic areas
· Dust mop and wet mop all hard surfaced floors nightly
· Sweep file, copier, computer and break rooms
· Spot mop vinyl floors in file, copier, computer and break rooms, as needed
· Clean break room tabletops and counters
· Clean glass table tops
· Wipe conference room table with damp cloth
· Empty waste baskets and change liners, as needed
· Wet mop and sanitize all restroom floors
· Sanitize all restroom fixtures, toilets, sinks and urinals
· Clean mirrors
· Empty trash in restrooms
· Restock restroom paper products and soap
· Clean water fountains
· Police stairways
Detail Floor Cleaning Services (Approximately Every 5 Weeks)
· Edge vacuum all carpeted areas, including corners and under desks
· Mop and buff vinyl flooring in all file, copier and computer rooms
· Damp wipe all horizontal surfaces, including bookcases, top of filing cabinets and desktops
· High dusting of picture frames, mirrors and partitions
· Low dusting of baseboards and window ledges
· Spot clean carpet stains
· Damp wipe top of break room appliances, including refrigerators and microwaves
· Wipe fronts of break room cabinets
· Clean restroom partitions and doors
· Damp wipe restroom partition tops
· Sweep stairways and wipe handrails
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE STANDARD JANITORIAL SPECIFICATIONS
· Cleaning inside of microwaves, refrigerators and cabinets
· Cleaning dishes, coffeepots and coffeemakers
· Cleaning vending machines
· Polishing conference room tables (Unless tenant provides the polish)
· Cleaning of telephones beyond dusting
· Cleaning of computers and other office equipment
· Friday or Saturday cleaning services
· Additional tile floor maintenance
· Additional carpet cleaning in tenant suites
· Upholstery cleaning
Should you desire any of these services, it would require an additional charge, which would be calculated on an individual basis.
Trash Removal
If you wish to dispose of trash other than that in the wastepaper basket, please inform cleaning personnel by leaving a red "trash" sticker on these items. The stickers are distributed to each tenant and are available upon request. Please DO NOT leave items that are not trash on top of wastebaskets, or place in the hallways, passenger, or freight elevator lobbies.
When a considerable amount of trash needs to be discarded, such as boxes from a delivery of supplies, furniture or equipment, please call the Building Management office at 704.887.1270 or the Bank of America Helpline at 800.698.4400 for bank associates for an additional pick up.
Recycling Programs
Gateway Center has an extensive program in place for your recycling aluminum, glass, and plastic items. This program consists of blue recycling bins placed in each floor's break room and emptied once a week or as needed basis.
